Bullying prevention

Creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment requires a whole-school approach to positive behaviour so that all forms of bullying, aggression and violence can be prevented

Teaching and modelling how to be a respectful and responsible member of the school community leads to a safe and supportive learning environment where everyone can thrive.

Schools, students and parents work together to prevent bullying, violence and aggression.

  • Explicitly teach social and emotional skills for managing emotions
  • Collaboratively develop policies and practices with parents and students to promote safety and counter violence, bullying and abuse
  • Encourage and value bystander and upstander behaviour
  • Teach, model and promote values and behaviours to create and maintain safe and supportive learning environments
