WELLBEING

The National Safe Schools Framework promotes a whole-school approach to wellbeing. Its aim is to assist schools to create safe, supportive and respectful teaching and learning communities.

  • Students who feel safe and valued and have a sense of belonging at school can begin to develop healthy and respectful relationships within that community and beyond.
  • Ensuring that students value their relationships with their peers and teachers enhances their sense of self-worth and wellbeing.
  • A sense of wellbeing leads to a positive and confident attitude, greater self-esteem and improved learning outcomes.
