Everyone has the right to learn in a safe, supportive and respectful environment free from harassment and abuse. Those who bully often have poor social skills, are angry or upset, or don't care about those they hurt. We know that victims of bullying and violence can have significant issues to deal with for the rest of their lives. Schools are responsible for dealing appropriately with instances of bullying and violence, but there's a lot you can do to take action to stop someone from bullying you or someone else.
You might have arguments with others, but is this bullying? Bullying is an ongoing and deliberate misuse of power in relationships through repeated verbal, physical and/or social behaviour that intends to cause physical, social and/or psychological harm. It can involve an individual or a group misusing their power, or perceived power, over one or more people who feel unable to stop it from happening.
